Lance & Cathy Grace own and operate LG Squared LLC. We created the company in 2002 to build and operate an RV and ministorage facility in Alamogordo, New Mexico. In the Summer of 2007, we expanded into the portable storage industry by purchasing two Go Mini's start-up dealerships serving the El Paso, Texas and southern New Mexico areas. In the Spring of 2008, we purchased an operational dealership serving Albuquerque, New Mexico and a start-up dealership in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our four dealerships operate from five sites that stretch along the southern I-25 corridor from the city of El Paso in Texas to the county of El Paso in Colorado.
Our operating sites are located in the following locations:
Lance & Cathy have been married for over 30 years. They met and lived in Arizona then moved to Florida, West Germany and North Carolina while Lance flew fighters (F-4E Phantoms) in the US Air Force. After graduation from the USAF Test Pilot School in 1986, Lance spent the next 9 years flying developmental flight test at Edwards AFB, California and Holloman AFB near Alamogordo, New Mexico. He accomplished the majority of flight test and flight test support in F-15s, F-15Es, F-16s, F-4s, A-7s and T-38s. The photos to the left show the Grace Family on top of Kilimanjaro on the 23rd of July, 2008. The second show the family together at Clayton's graduation from Arizona State University in May 2009. Lance spent only a few minutes in his uniform purchased more than 25 years earlier.
After Lance retired in 1995, he became the Executive Director of the New
Mexico Office of Space Commercialization where he was involved with developing the first in-land spaceport for commercial space operations - now named Spaceport America. He then became a part owner of a small engineering company specializing in low observable technology. However, he also continued to fly fighters for almost 7 more years as a civilian in leased USAF F-4D Phantoms with BAE Systems out of Mojave, California.
Cathy started her nursing career in pediatrics intensive care. However, due to Lance's career and later, three young children, she had to resort to continuing her career in less demanding nursing environments. After finishing the construction of their home and preparing their children to go off to college, Cathy returned to more challenging areas in the nursing field. She specialized in assisting in conducting endoscopies at the Outpatient Care Unit at the local hospital and now works in the infusion unit.
All three of their children have now graduated from college. They have lived for the last 10 years in a house they designed and built in the foothills directly east of Alamogordo. The attached photo of the family was taken recently at Hanging Lake near Glenwood Springs, Colorado during a practice hike preparing for their Mt Kilimanjaro trip later this summer. The family was practicing their imitation Hulk Hogan pose to be accomplished on the top of Kili at 19,341 feet.
